Most FPV writing comes from pilots who learned by crashing. That is a legitimate way to learn, and it produces useful advice. It also produces gaps — the parts nobody explains because the writer never had to articulate them to anyone else.
Kwon, Yong Sang came to the subject from the other direction. He judges the sport internationally, he holds a graduate degree in the engineering behind it, and he teaches it. Each of those roles forces a different kind of precision: a judge has to know the rules exactly, an engineer has to know why a part behaves the way it does, and an instructor has to explain both to someone who has never held a soldering iron.
